Bob Black: Grass, Antisemite

"Cleansed of its leaftist residues, anarchy - anarchism minus Marxism - will be free at being what it is." Bob Black, Anarchy after Leftism

Bob Black's latest small book Anarchy after Leftism, (Columbia Alternative Library, Columbia USA, 1997) poses as nothing more than a critique of another small book, Murray Bookchin's Social Anarchism or Lifestyle Anarchism: An Unbridgeable Chasm (Edinburgh Scotland and San Francisco, USA 1995). It is not our purpose to defend Bookchin's political positions, however Black also attacks Bookchin for his ethnicity: 'Bakunin considered Marx, the German scholar, in his threefold capacity as an Hegelian, a Jew and a German, to be a hopeless statist. A Hegelian, a Jew, a sort-of scholar, a Marxist, a hopeless city-statist does this sound like anyone familiar?' (p45). Unfortunately, this outbreak of antisemitism, explicitly linked to that of Bakunin, cannot be dismissed as an isolated 'lapse'. Black has also written for the neo-Nazi Journal Of Historical Review (Vol 7 #2, Summer 1986). If this were not enough, Black has shown what he means by 'Anarchism beyond Leftism' when he grassed up Jim Hogshire. The letter, reproduced overleaf, appeared in Big Bad Bob Black: A Popular Reality Special Report (available from Popular Reality, P.O.Box 1782, Jackson Michigan, 49204, USA better send some International reply Coupons).

Along with Hakim Bey's slide into Third Positionist Nationalism and the racism of Green Anarchist, it is clear what 'Anarchism after Leftism really is Anarcho-fascism.

This text was produced as a part of a leaflet by Unpopular Books. The leaflet also include a copy of Bob Blacks letter to the Seattle Police Department grassing up Jim Hogshire, dated February 21, 1996 signed Robert C. Black.

The leaflet when on to say:

In his text My Date with Jim Hogshire (Version 2.1) Bob Black lists 10 reasons for grassing. These included 'A felony conviction disqualifies him from legally possessing firearms' (No.6), 'To take his firebomb away' (No.3), 'To make sure he doesn't shoot his wife the next time someone uses her as a human shield' (No.2) and culminating in 'He fucked me over' (No.1). This is what Black means by Anarchy being 'free at being what it is' this is Anarchy after Leftism
